In May of last year the Mopar bug bit. Always wanting a 70 Roadrunner or 2-door B-body, it’s out of my budget. So the search  began for the biggest and most unique, a C-body with the mighty RB engine. I’ve been a Mopar nut since childhood, owning a  71 340 Demon in high school, and 318 4-door 68 and 70 Coronets in the early 90s. The search began looking at a 65  Imperial, but it needed a total restoration. After looking at 3 other 4-door B-bodies that were rusty and didn’t run, I got  discouraged. Then, advertised was a 72 Imperial with new battery and front end, for $1200. Expecting to see another junker,  this was a nice running car, and the deal was made. I’ve only done a brake job, shocks, tires, tune-up and new white paint.  This is what you see – 5200 pounds, 129 inch wheel base, 440 4-barrel. Only 4500 made, so this is a rare survivor. I take it to  shows, parades and pleasure driving. A real head turner, it’s the biggest car I’ve seen. Have you seen one lately?!
